The monotony of working in an IT call centre, a scientist's lament at instigating an environmental catastrophe, the promise of a better life in a lunar colony and people just generally being annoying, are some of the themes explored on the latest eclectic album “B.A.U.” by Runningonair. In terms of genre, B.A.U. , like its predecessor “Conspiracy Theory”, remains firmly electronic but encompasses a wide range of styles: EDM, Synthwave, Trance, as well as, esoteric soundscapes. While at its core it is essentially accessible, below the surface each track has been created in a unique way, often limiting resources to provoke alternative approaches, leading to very different outcomes.
